Yes, the skis are named after THAT Hannibal, but this is ski touring so there's no need to drag an elephant along for the trip - the Fischer Hannibal 96 Carbon Skis free up some valuable energy for the ascent with an ultralight construction based on a milled Paulownia Woodcore, Carbon Tex layup, and Air Tech Ti reinforcement in the binding zone. The skis are carefully shaped to minimize mass at the perimeter using Fischer's Aeroshape molding process as well, giving you the most bang for your buck in any touring scenario.
